Angel

Angel

8 years old, 45 pounds. Nickname: Angle. While she may not be an Angel to other dogs this cute blonde has lead me through every major race since she was 2: Three AttaBoy 300’s, The Race to the Sky, The Seeley Lake 200, The John Beargrease Marathon, four Tustumena 200’s, the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race and three Iditarods thus far. She is always eager to go, she is very intelligent, very cute and she knows it.

Bernard

Bernard

7 years old, 51 pounds. Nicknames: Bernie, Bernardsky & Barnyard. Always the trouble maker—able to open any snap, remove his booties in a matter of seconds, find and raid the dog snacks- he has run behind Angel in every major race since 2003: 3 AttaBoy 300’s, The Race to the Sky, The Seeley Lake 200, The John Beargrease Marathon, four Tustumena 200’s, the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race and three Iditarods thus far. This dog is so much fun to work with because he is a beautiful athlete, a hard worker and he keeps every run and camp-out interesting with his enthusiasm and playful personality.

Cletus

Cletus

Race leader, 3 years old, Copper son, Sailor grandson, sibling of Angel, Mandy, Venus and Pia. 52 pounds.

Jovi

Jovi

3 years old, brother of Jimmy and Bonnie, 57 pounds, ran the 2004 Attaboy 300 with Wes Rau, made it 280 miles into the Race to the Sky ’04, leader in training, very strong.

Hank

Hank

4 years old, shy, named for Hank Aaron, 1/2 German Shorthair Pointer and ½ Alaskan husky, Sailor/Penguin grandpup, has run all three Atta Boys and ’04 Race to the Sky. Leader/team dog.

Zack

Zack

3/4 English Pointer, 2 years old, from Rob Pebbles, ran ’04 Atta Boy, did 280 miles of Race to the Sky, 50 pounds, cute floppy ears, loves people, to run and eat.

King

King

Race leader, from Jim Ducough, ran ’03 Atta Boy with Wendy Davis, ran ’04 Atta Boy, Race to the Sky and John Beargrease with Rachael. 6 years old, 60 pounds.

Breeze

4 years old, 38 pounds. Raised by Jessie Royer this tiny girl has been living with us for a year. She spent last season leading sled dog rides on Mt. Bachelor, this year she will lead my team in her first Iditarod. She may be small but she is fast and can run for hours, go to sleep and happily get up and do it again.

Brick

Brick

6 years old, 40 pounds. Nicknames: Brikerific or B-love. Not only is she adorable and snuggley but this blonde is the toughest dog I have ever known. Since 2005 she has run the AttaBoy 300, the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled dog Race, 3 Tustumena 200’s, the Tustumena 100, the Seeley Lake 200 and 3 Iditarods. She leads through whatever nature has to offer and still wags her tail at the end.

Debra

4 years old, 39 pounds. Nickname: Debs. Quiet, sweet, Debs, because of her picky eating habits is staying on Mt. Bachelor, leading sled dog rides this year. A finicky eater like herself can be good stage racers as she proved in two International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Races but in distance races like the Iditarod dogs need to eat.

Lazer

Lazer

A ‘lefty’, from Rob Peebles, 6 years old, 40 pounds, race leader, ran last two Atta Boy 300’s, Conconully, Race to the Sky, Beargrease Marathon.

Tiny

Tiny

Eddie

Dugan

Dugan

Race leader, 6 years old, 49 pounds, son of Blue and Arnold, Junior’s brother, ’01 Wyoming with Rachael, all three Atta Boy 300’s, Race to the Sky, John Beargrease, etc.

Ned

Ned

Wheel dog extraordinaire, 6 years old, from Rob Peebles, 48 pounds, ran last two Atta Boy 300’s, Race to the Sky.

Otter

Otter

Race dog, lefty, 5 years old, from Mike Hutchins, Marquette, Michigan. Hard-worker, ran ’04 Atta Boy, Race to the Sky and Beargrease Marathon. 62 pounds.

Emmy

Emmy

5 years old, 46 pounds. Nickname: Emmerson. Emmy is ¼ English Pointer ¾ husky which makes her extremely fast strong and sweet with incredible endurance but because of her short hound hair we decided that she would be happier running sled dog rides and visiting hundreds of people on warm Mt. Bachelor than running distance races in Alaska. She will not run the Iditarod but if we return to stage racing she will be a star.

Goldie

Goldie

5 years old, 45 pounds. Emmy’s equally talented longer haired sister is happily training her second Iditarod. She will run anywhere on my team and when we camp she is a wonderful cuddler.

Happy

3 years old, 60 pounds. Nickname: Happy Feet. Happy is happiest when he is running. Waiting to run he is very quiet but when it is time to run he becomes a completely different dog. I have lost several gloves to his excited bites. He doesn’t mean to bite he is just excited, he wants to run, from lead to wheel, he doesn’t care as long as he gets to go.

Bubba

3 years old, 64 pounds. With a name like Bubba who needs a nickname? Undoubtedly the most unique looking dog I have, he has made my team better in the Seeley Lake 200, two Tustumena 200’s and the Iditarod. He eats whatever I put in front of him and pulls his heart out no matter where he is in the team. However, I can’t trust him in lead as he makes very bad decisions.

Iman

20 months old, 41 pounds. Nickname: Emo. We have decided that Iman is one year away from the Iditarod. She is an amazing dog but she is a tad immature so she will spend this year on Mt. Bachelor with her mother, Emmy.
